ok maybe i can say it differently.

the bulbs you buy on ebay have a blue tint to the glass of the bulb. For it to shine through and be technically blue, the tint on the glass would have to be near black, and you wouldn't get enough light to drive safely. regular $30 bulbs, the hid lookalikes, have a very faint tinge of blue. its not technically blue light, and thats the reason you can go to court.

the reason some HID's are blue is because the xenon arc is kept at a temperature that specifies the colour. you can have pink if you want, and it will be true pink, no hint of white or yellow. the arc will produce the true colour and no other colour specified.

Are PIAA's any brighter than other bulbs, and is it worth the extra price?

PIAA's are brighter and they're very good. problem is they cost $110 or so. that cost includes a one year warrantee however.

so if you buy more than 3 sets of cheap bulbs per year, you might as well get PIAAs.

Cops don't write the laws, they just enforce them........... Take it up with Parliament if you have a problem with laws.

no really? I never knew that Basically what I'm trying to say is they enforce alot of stuff that most people would let slide. Blue lights for example. Are they hurting anybody?
