Is Insurance going down???

I heard that insurance rates are supposed to drop by 10% in January. Anyone know if this is true, or heard anything on this topic.

While we are on the topic of insures.
How bad are you getting rapped right now. ??

WE have an '01 GTI VR6 GLX
24yrs old male and married (no tickets that they know of)
House and life insurance discount is applied. Insurance is through a broker with Pilot. The lowest of all deductibles, the best we could get. The only thing I am not sure of is if/what Mods are acceptable to them. Neverthelesss I just always take pics and keep reciepts.

We pay $165/mth/Wtax(car portion only)

That is my wife as principle driving 30kms round trip to work each day and my self as occasional.

hope that gives your an idea.

Rape? Please read on.
19 year old male
1 at fault (over a year ago)
1 ticket (48 or something over the limit)
mk ii mr2
About 400 a month for 1 way.
Echelon insurance...cancelled for winter
I am under my own policy, the only driver..

My insurance will be cut in half this spring because they re evaluate my case. Ticket off record as of last month, 3 years licensed as of jan, over a year without an accident as of last month, and they will put me in the 19-20 bracket instead of the 18 year old bracket (when i got my mr2). It will have full coverage and I wont be high risk anymore. I need to get a company that allows appraisals because my swap will be insured.

You may want to look around for insurance. At 18, first driver, full coverage, on my 96 gs-r, i only paid 200/month...

Monthly Rate: Well....it's $1200 for my whole family to have 3 cars on the road. So my Part is $500/YEAR...so about $42/month 8)

I know Footose is w/ them as well and he still pays relativly *cheap* (acctually they still give him insurance) after he wrapped his golf around a pole and they said it was his fault (altough it wasn't)
Do you have to live in the AYR region to get insure w/ them???

No clue...but we have property near Collingwood and Peterborough that they insure also. *Shrug*

They still insure my mom also even though everyone else would consider her Hig Risk.

(Rear ended a car in the rain with $2000 damage to her truck...let alone the other cars smashed bumper.
and she also backed into a voyagers and smushed her tail gate and mashed the guys fender and door...all within 3 months  and both times they were totally her fault)

How old are you? And just to let you know anything 15 and under does not show on your insurance record, and not at fault accidents dont affect your record. Not to mention the speeding ticket is now off your driving record (its gone after 2 years). Have you tried with a broker?

speeding 109 in 80
speeding 72 in 50
speeding 68 in 50
1 accident and it was not my fault and they say it was.
And i am 22 here's my insurance list with echelon.

2000 civic sir $305 a month just liability.
1997 mitsubishi eclipse gsx $320 a month just liability.
1997 cavalier $270 a month with collision I know what you are thinking
collision on the cavy and none on the eclipse and the sir.It is because I
have alot of money into it and its fully customized.
1996 sunfire gt $178 a month just liability.

You can't possibly insure all those at one time, can you? I would sell off a couple cars
