Keep your car legally modified and shut your mouth when u get pulled over is the best way for us to help each other. And if u do get a BS ticket, be sure to take advantage of your right to trial and do your research or call Radar Blue's Traffic Ticket Defenders.

Cambridge now has at least 2 of the dark blue Chargers. Sat and watched as kid in a Civic was pulled over by 2 of them.

Note: These cars are VERY stealthy, and do NOT look like cop cars (they have the conceled light bars etc, tinted windows, and concealed antennae).

Also,

Blue Windstar with light package had someone pulled over on the 401 (Guelph). Never seen a police minivan before. Rather amusing...

I thought shaved door handles were legal. Only thing it said in the blitz checklist was "how do you expect to be rescued in an emergency"

Bingo^^ And how many vehicles on the road automatically lock the doors over 30km/h ...which disables the outer door handles....same thing as being shaved.

Also...if you are in an accident. The doors will be still locked. So the firefighters will have to smash the windows regardless.

Same goes for EVERY vehicle on the road that you can lock the doors on.

^^ Your ticket, and pulled plates are 100% BS, and you'll definitely win it.. Its ridiculous that they spent 45 minutes digging through the HTA, just to try to nail you with something...

Does that not sound like they've got an agenda/quota??

-They got me for a burned out headlight (which i totally didn't know about)
-Improper license plate light
-Horn wire broken on my Grant Adapter

I'm totally fine with paying and fixing all those. I can admit to any of that. It'll all good. They are doing their jobs.

It's just the door handle one that gets me.

When i do a car. I always take pride on doing it so that the car is still fully legal. Anyone that knows me knows I take a lot of pride in that fact. I see it as anyone can mod a car without still falling in the guidelines...so I take the effort to keep my car totally compliant...and STILL be able to do allt he things I've done to it.

that's all.

The tow truck driver was a cool guy too. All in all it was alright night.

Edit: Damni,..just realized that i didn't get a SINGLE ticket.

Got a court summons for each and every one of them

I'd say this stuff is extremely carefully written, and should be carefully looked at by anyone who's made changes to just about any aspect of a car.

Skuce,
Can't speak to the "shaved handles", But the court summons for all of them is because if one ticket falls in to the NSF (No Set Fine) category then all the tickets you get automatically default to that same court date and become Part III Summons. Its so you don't have to go to court twice for the same traffic stop.

What do you mean, if in their post the people said the officer was nice, i wrote it beside it regardless if they got a ticket or not. Look:

K.I.S.S.: attitude = pissed offed officer = guaranteed ticket
... YOUR attitude during the stop is most likely the reason which determines if the officer is a dick or nice guy... If you are an ass the copper is going to be an ass too. They are people just like you and me and they get pissed just as easily. However you got to remember that hes the one with the option to write the ticket and pissing him/her off is not the best play.
Been stopped lots of times and caught a lot of breaks because I don't fail the attitude test.

P.S. if you get a chance checkout the side of the cop car (front 1/4 panel/fender) if it is blank they are patrol officers if it says "Traffic" you are probably screwed. (K-W cruisers)

What's the difference between the two ?? are patrol officers limited to the kind of tickets they can hand out ??

when i got my 1 speeding ticket i had a really nice cop... i knew i was speeding, i didnt try to get out of it, he lowered it so i wouldnt be totally screwed and then i paid it... no big deal

if you treat the officer with respect, i doesnt matter if its for something bogus or something you did... own up to it if you were in the wrong and if youre in the right and you feel youre being unjustly harassed just keep calm and talk to the officer have him clarify what he thinks is wrong and discuss it calmly... youll be suprised at how down to earth *most* cops can be

Patrol coppers take regular calls and 'catch the real bad guys/criminals' on a daily basis....Their intrest usually isn't in giving out traffic tickets.
"Traffic" cops are specifically assigned to do TRAFFIC enforcement therefore you might not catch as many breaks. Also traffic cops, from experience, give great evidence in court and know the HTA inside and out. Once heard a defence counsil give a big kudos to a traffic cop for the evidence he gave on the stand for the ticket the defence guy was representing. Defence then sat down and didn't ask a quesiton - conviction entered! OUCH.
