Opinoins on Tint

Hey guys. Hopefully this is the right place to post this. I'm looking at getting my windows tinted. What % would you recomend so that i dont have to worry about getting harrased by cops for it being TOO dark. I want them dark but not enough for them to make me rip it off

Any suggestions would be appriecated.

Thanks

Chris

In Ontario, there is no legal limit on tint percentages. No matter what any shop says, there is NO legal limit (it is up to an officers discretion)
Legally, any percentage on your driver and passenger front door window or front windshield is illegal. Rear door windows and rear windshields can be as dark/painted over/shaved as you wish.
The general rle of thumb in regarding the front two windows is that at any time of day or night an officer should be able to identify the number of occupants in the front two seats of the vehicle as well as the sex of the driver.

Generally People assume 35% to be the "less harassed, therefore legal" limit.

I have 15% all around (except the windshield ofcourse) on my black BMW, and never have I been pulled over for tint, nor has any officer questioned it.

I did 20% on my mazda and was really happy with it as well. I would recommend that.

Front Sides is vague, but generally speaking 35% is accepted with no problems.
I have 20% all around, no hassles.

i have 18% on the back 3 and 28% on the front side, with a 6% sunstrip. I'm satisfied with it. it's dark, but not too dark as to not be able to see out at night

Milan did my Colorado. Ended up being about 23% on my front windows to match the deep factory tint on my rear crew cab windows. The tint quality he uses is excellent with a lifetimewarranty and it's polarized. Had a few issues with a bad film application (peeling off in the corners) but he fixed it up for me with no problems.

i had 12% mirror on my GP chris, looked sweet (don't recommend mirror on silver tho) if i were doing it again i'd do 20 or 15% depending what the shop has instock. my wife has 15% on her silver Accord and its perfect IMO.
