Civic broken into lastnight

This is very odd. My mom wakes me up at 5:30 am and says someone broke into my car. I go out look around im like hum weird Deck is still in the car ( very nice APline unit). Look at the drivers side the entire assebmly under the steering while is ripped apart. And the ignition is ripped out and just dangling their.

The thing that annoys me, is whoever the hell did this didnt take anything. Just createn a huge mess for me to clean and put the ignition assebmly back together. I mean nothing if they knew anything about stealing or breaking into civics they know they coulda took the CD Player in like 2 minutes. But they broke the ignition assembly and left it and took off.

Now this happened last night. It puzzles me as to what the hell they were trying to do or take ? Does anyone know ?

They shoulda broke into my accord it has an alarm i woulda been outside so damn quick and beat the shit outta of them, but that probably wouldnt happen as they would be gone in an instant.

Mods sorry if this is wrong spot to post but didnt know which one would be best.

No damange to exterior. Just a really pissed off mom lol. I think my sister forgot to lcok the doors yesterday when she wen tto get somethign outta the car. But she says she locked it with the remote and heard the beep or w/e.

Anyways it seems liek a easy fix if i cna find a glue that will hold metals together. Nothing is functionally damaged. You can still turn on the car i just dont think its a good idea to drive around with a ignition dangling around.

hence why i had to go drive to waterloo today to drop off my mom and will prob go pick her up.

I dunno if all u need is some glue, but pick up some 2-part metal epoxy and give it lots of curing time and it should hold.

I also heard my sisters friend who lives on our street car also got broken into last week but these punks stole the deck in that car.Maybe i shoulda reported this to the cops on Tuesday.

Oh well the car is workign fine just the ignition is kinda dangling. Kinda expensive to get fixed.

sounds like theft is on the rise, really makes me want to get a good alarm system in the Eclipse. I don't think the factory one is going to cut it anymore

haha, i know what you mean, a plug with some wires i won't mention connected together and a push button for the starter, same concept works on pretty much any car that doesn't have a chip in the key, except a civic is stupidly easy to get to the ignition cylinder.

(i swear i don't steal cars)
