I really hope your joking, one of the dumbest comments Ive ever heard. I wish there ZERO tolerance for people who think like you. If your driving you should be sober end of story. There is no argument on that!

If you're within the prescribed legal limits I don't see a problem here.

The problem with G2 is you can't have any alcohol. If you even get the slightest reading you would be screwed. Now that's no longer a problem as long as you're within the limits. The benifit of craming more people in your car than belts also comes in handy

This is where you type a bunch of shit about how awesome your car is. FACT: It's been scientifically proven that the more shit you write in here the less cool your car is. Nine times out of ten the majority of people who talk shit down here don't even have any of the crap they talk about on their car. I drive an 8 year old domestic and barely give two shits about it. I beat the hell out of it and it begs for more, just like your girlfriend. Go ahead, cut me off. I dare ya.

I think he was joking. He meant that the G license is less safe than the G2.

yahhh .. i didnt think this thread would go this long lol ..

back on topic anyways

---> should older drivers be forced to take the new drivers training as it really isnt us younger generation responsible for most crashes, its actually the elderly and 30+ age group that have no clue how to drive cuz they never had formal drivers training ..

Phew - see that at the end there? Yep, it's a period.

As an elderly driver, I've had drivers training. I also passed the G test about 4 weeks after my 16th birthday. In fact I think that I had a few more classes of drivers ed left to go while I already had my G.

My test basically was one big square. Turn right out of the parking lot, go around the block and park backwards in that spot. Easy peasy. Total time - less than 15 minutes.

They really should make the tests harder. Maybe 1 hour in traffic/401/7/8/busy intersections, turning left constantly?

And parking should be done in a real world parking lot (notice that the spaces are getting narrower) not at the ministry. Squeeze yourself in a spot between two cars at walmart. More real world situations would be great.

When I was getting licensed I wrote my G1, then took driver training and was told that you had to wait a year to take your G2 road test (or 8 months if you had a driver training certificate). Pokey, has the system changed? I then waited the full five years to finally go get my G out of laziness more than anything. First try on all three.

So can someone tell me how you take your road test weeks after you turn 16.

Easy, you had to do your test before the graduated licensing came along. That was in the late 90's right?

That's why I qualified my comments with the fact that I'm an elderly driver (30+).
