Speeding Ticket help
So this morning i was on the way to school on Westmount Rd East and i was going 65 km/h in a 50 km/h zone and there was a cop with a radar so he pulled me over and didn't say anything and asked for my license, insurance and registration (in a veryt rude way and made comments looking at the car )and went back to his car and came back after 20 minutes or so and gave me a speeding ticket going 76 km/h in a 50 when i was doing 65 and i explained to him how sorry i was and i just got off a night shift job and i have a Test thats why im ina rush. Also gave me another ticket for Fail to display 2 plates, which also explained to him that i got one less than 15 days ago and i have ordered my front license plate relocater and waiting for that but he kept responding in a very rude way and just walked away. I know i was going over but do you guys think i have any chance or luck to beat these tickets because the speeding ticket also has 3 points.
Just need your opinions if you guys have gone through something like this before and am i better off going my self or talk to the ticket deffenders? ------------------ ƒçµK þø®ñ§tã® |

What is your driving record like up till now??
If its clean you can get the speeding ticket reduced to 15 over and no points. If its not, then some ticket fighting place might be able to get it dropped but I'm not too sure. As for the front plate ticket, you're pretty much out of luck. The only option I could think of, would be putting the plate on, then pleading guilty with an explanation. Once you're in front of the judge explain the situation, show him a picture of the car with the plate on and usually they will reduce the fine but not always. For other posters in this thread. The guy is asking for help. I don't want to see posts saying of how he shouldn't be speeding and all that other crap. If you don't have any advice, stay out of this thread. |

I'd say you're outta luck bud. Westmount is bad for that, and I've never heard of anyone getting off a ticket on that road. But like Platinum Turbo said, if you have a clean record you might have a chance.

2nd, right away request full disclosure, because you WILL be fighting this one. Thirdly, Go see Pointts or Ticket Defenders, explain them the scenerio, and see what they have to say. Try and get as much info for free from them then rgo to your first attendance meeting with that knowledge. If that doesn't work out the way you want, request a court date, and let Pointts or T.D fight it for you |

How large are those rims of yours compared to stock? You could have actually been going faster than your speedo indicated.
------------------ This is where you type a bunch of shit about how awesome your car is. FACT: It's been scientifically proven that the more shit you write in here the less cool your car is. Nine times out of ten the majority of people who talk shit down here don't even have any of the crap they talk about on their car. I drive an 8 year old domestic and barely give two shits about it. I beat the hell out of it and it begs for more, just like your girlfriend. Go ahead, cut me off. I dare ya. |

This is the best and most accurate advice you are going to get on this one. The 2 tickets with the full fine is juicy bargaining chip for the crown. It gives them lots of room to work with when considering a plea to reduced fines. This is the best route to take. Trying to discredit the officers evidence would be the harder route in your case ------------------ |

my driving record is clean no tickets.. also another thing i forgot to add was another person was dropping off their kid at the school and she was going the same speed as me and she was there while the cop was talking to me and she gave me her number as a witness because she also saw how rude the cop was and i was explaining to the cop very nicely, do you guys think the witness will help?

You could bring a witness... it doesn't have to be a cop. Doesn't mean that they will listen, but an impartial witness is normally a lot of help.

As for your claim about the rude attitude, however unfortunate that it is, the long and short of it is that its not going to disprove the speeding evidence. ------------------ |
