Depends on every person. Call Belair Direct, that's where I'm @ and I get great rates.

I got the bel air online quote - more than double what I'm paying now.

Seems kind of strange to double the insurance because of two cars.. you can only drive one at a time right?

Unless your second one is something they see as 'high performance' I can't see a valid reason other than money grab to double rates. If anything they should give you a discount on the first and second cars effectively raising your rates maybe 50%.

multi car discount is only worth 5-10% off. You'll have to wait till you're older before the prices will drop

u will get a discount as soon as u turn 21 as welll so ur rates should drop. Mine dropped significantly when i turned 21, from $498 a month to $311 ( that with life insurance), my dad also switched to my insurance company ( state farm) and i got another discount and am now only paying $170 a month, altho it will be going up soon as i have a court date on wednesday for a 60 km/h over speed ticket

When I tried to insure multiple cars with Bel Air it was more than adding the cost of each car individually.

It was for two 2001 Jettas (I owned both for a short time, one was a 2.0L gas and the other a 1.9L turbo diesel) and I wanted to keep both insured. I was currently paying about $189/month on the gasser and it would've been $202/month for the TDI. Combined it was around $450-500.

It didn't make sense to me and they couldn't tell me why it was so high. That was a year ago and I pay only $169/month now for better insurance with the same company... :/
