Accident
I have a question about my licence getting suspended or what..? idk
Today i had an accident on Victoria street with my mustang, i smashed into an benz lol not the best car to hit but shit happens the driver was nice i told him i dont have an licence, only my g1. He said no problem lets move the cars n work something out but someone called the cops n well didnt go great... anyhow now the cop gave me a tickiet for driving with g1 without a qualified driver beside me for $110 and a careless driving ticket for $325. We had agreed on me fixing the guys benz and not going through the insurance crap, the cop didnt listen n called our insurance. Anyway the plan is my mustang going to junkyard there goes couple thousand im not fixing it and the benz im send to my bodyshop to fix with my expence and i was wonder if the insurance company is going to skyrocket my rates? Since i am paying and not them... And is my licence getting suspended? |

you are officially screwed.
G1 and an accident that has been reported. insurance companies will not look at that with open arms, you will need an open wallet. I assume for some reason that you are male, and well that doesn't go well for you either. in all honesty you shouldn't have driven without a qualified driver, there's a reason you are supposed to, some would argue this is why. good luck. ------------------ Life can change with every breathe, and it can end before the next. Buy a nice bicycle and a warm jacket.. it's gonna be a cold winter!
All sarcasm asside, I expect you'll have issues getting insured in the next 3-5 years(maybe more) , even if you can find insurance it will cost some serious coin. And I'm guessing a licence suspension is coming your way (hence the bike for winter comment..). You gambled driving on a G1 illegally and lost, shitty break.. don't beat yourself up about it too bad though, we all make mistakes which is fine as long as we survive our mistakes and learn from them! ------------------ Gary - 1998 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS coupe

if a police officier called your insurance company they know. that is done and over with. cancel the claim or not they still know. i had an ebrake come down and a car roll into another car in a parking lot, no claim made, no cars were fixed and the insurance company found out and dropped my wife.
you're toast from the insurance stand point, period. i hope your parents have more money to pay for your insurance after the body work from your integra. ------------------ Life can change with every breathe, and it can end before the next. all i gotta say is what a goof, seriously! you come on here like your proud of it. you know damn right you shouldn't be driving with your g1, and second of all a heatbag car like a mustang. you were obviously driving careless in order to run into the mercedes, and you obviously had to run into a expensive car at that. leave your insurance for now, just replacing minor things on the benz is gonna cost you arm and a leg, and then insurance, and then your tickets. You should just sell the integra and pay for all your stupidity cause seriously thats still not going to be enough. next time you'll learn and think before getting behind the wheel, without a proper licence and obey the rules of the road.

Ok first of all im not proud of anything.. its bad i know its a big loss in money wise... and it was not really my fault the idiot in front of the benz slamed the breaks n the benz did the same n mine hit his which doesnt matter at all because i have no say at all g1 tops everything, i was talking to a lawyer he said the cop did u wrong striaght up.
Anyway updates, insurance doubled and if i had full coverage they would have paid me $6000 for my car :S but i have a chance if the claim doesnt really get reported n i fix his car. I hired a lawyer for the tickets n shit he says to be smart first thing we do is take this to court n drag it out till december when u get ur g2 n go on from there.. that sounds about good... Also i was calculating this whole thing its costing me about 4-5 grand easily ![]() |

you're quite the winner... 2 tickets before even getting your license and then blaming the car in front for causing the accident because you were following too close AND driving without a license? Can you do us all a favour? buy one of those air raid sirens and every time you hop in a car, start er' up. I don't want to be on the road with you around.
honestly, if this is how you're going to drive before even getting a G2 or a full G, you should invest in a permanent BUS PASS. Some people just aren't meant to drive... Grow up and smarten up! |

if you rear end somebody its your fault. IF you didn't get careless yoiu would have gotten "following too close" which is a 4 point fine, careless is 6 IIRC you can't blame the guy 2 cars ahead, becasue had you been following at a safe distance you would have had time to stop. ------------------ SR20DET Tuned by BLITZ Yeah thats right, BLITZ MA-F@CK@ I didn't get the nicky HARDCORE for nothing |

I'm suprised that insurance is even going to cover you. Most insurance companies will only cover you if you can legally drive. You are screwed either way, there's no way in hell you should have been driving. Honestly, I don't care how easily they let you off the first time, it was stupid to do it the first time, and even stupider now. For you to rear end someone, it's your fault 100%. You should never be that close to someone for that to happen, and that's why you should have an experienced driver in your car to let you know you're driving like a moron. There's far more things that you should have been charged with. This is the first time I believe that someone shouldn't get a court date. You deserve to get fully punished for this. Do you really think you're going to learn if you get off too easily this time also? It's time to get yourself a bus pass and a bicycle. Grow up and get your license in about 10 to 15 years or move to Toronto where you can take a go train or subway! It's people like you that give us younger guys a bad name and cause our insurance to be so high. BUT there's no way that your insurance should be able to do anything until after the court date. You're at least lucky there. Also, of course your lawyer is going to tell you to drag it out... the more time he spends with you, the more money he gets! He doesn't give a shit about you.

insurance will not cover his car but they will cover the other since they are the innocent party. if he did have collision/ he would be SOL to get the 6G for the car because he was not properly classed to drive the vehicle.
Unless it was in his parents name but then the only way to get the $$ is they would have to charge him with Theft ------------------ 1996 Viper Red Cavalier Z24 15.116@90.95 What do i know I'm just another J-Body Owner |

Not to be a total asshole but you shouldn't even have your G1 now. This is a perfect example of complete disregard for anyones safety, including yours. You should have to start the graduated license program right from the beginning. Prime example of why everyone takes heat for the select few that act like idiots.

You're screwed. Unless you have a really nice job you won't be driving anymore because your insurance rates will be over $500/month easy.
With a G2 and just two speeding tickets my company wanted to charge me $400/month. I switched companies and got lower but still... your situation is much much worse. ------------------ ITCT || MP3Car Forums || Reliable Investments || PN User Feedback || Heatware || My MSN Status: ![]() TURBO DIESEL |
