I think that OnStar thing is a great idea! I would like that in my car. Less chances of some douche wrecking it if they stole it!

I'm guessing once that comes into effect there will be alot less stolen escalades and other GM's on the reserve.

I'm pretty sure that they will leave that out of the escalades so that they can continue to be stolen by anyone that can reach the pedals.

Agreed. Then again I haven't owned a GM vechile since.... well... never

Sidenote: Please dont turn my comment into a pissing war about how domestics or imports are better then each other... blah blah. This is my opinion, deal with it

SPOC - Without giving too many details, are there any developments with EMP or is this to far-fetched ?

EMPs are way far off as far as using them under a controlled circumstance. They are having problems that are unable to be figured out. If you attempt to deploy one most likley all the cars in the area would crap out. Then again if you have an old Muscle car with no real electronics that cause functions in the car like a computer then an EMP would be completely useless and the car would still run.

What they had in 2F2F was a pipe dream that nobody is going to see in a long while.

Too much electronic crap. For me the ability for someone else to remotely monitor, or even control my car is too much. The technology has its place, just not in my car.

you dont need a better car i know many of people that ran from cops if ur dodge or plymoth, Chrysler vehicles been stolen in kw like 3 4 years ago i know who did it and theres a 100% guarantee if it was stolen its atleast been beaten the shit out of, races on the highway, mudded taken to chicopee and stripped of its subs, amps, rims ,decks and such, driven to toronto and traded for one with more gas, played bumper cars with, stolen in groups driving and throwing shit at each other windows and many many many highspeed chases

dodge caravans are fun

So maybe people will wear their seatbelts and do the speed limit! I still fail to see the downfall.... I do speed, and at times I don't wear my seatbelt, but if I knew for a fact I was going to get caught, I wouldn't do those things. If it was mandatory for everyone to go the speed limit, traffic would flow better, and if everyone had to wear a seatbelt, fewer deaths!

I remember in grade 11 auto the whole class made a big list of pros/cons, ima try and find that note and bring it up...overall sure its a great idea and a nice system to have but there were some downfalls about it as well.

No sure if anyone knows but what are the rules the police have to go by when in a pursuit?
When is it okay for them to put the bumper to someone, when do they have to call it off and is it okay to go after a driver?

I've heard all kinds of things but I never hear the same thing more than once as far as what the cops can and can not do.
