Trip permit??

OK so my brother bought this car for me back in July. I got a trip permit back then to be able to drive it to my parents. Now, the rule is you are supposed to have it safied etc within 10 days of getting the permit. Well, when does that ever happen? It's been sitting there for a few months now and its time to take it to get a safety. Is it possible to get a second trip permit or do I have to get it towed???
If I can't get another, someone have access to dealer plate ???

I've had numerous trip permits in the past. It shouldn't be an issue. I know when I got mine, I had to have some sort of proof of insurance or temp insurance, so that was sometimes the difficult thing... but on my old dynasty, I had 3 trip permits in a row. The ministry didn't seem to care how many you get. It makes them money.

I just called, they said I cannot have another. They wrote on the back of my ownership that I've already had a trip permit and its in the computer as well.

tow truck, dealer plate or fake plates.

you're allowed one when the ownership is "fit" and signed over to you. then you have to have it registered as your car with the MTO and have it safetied to get a "fit" title, then you're allowed 4 more.

i used all 5 before i got my first 240 fully legal, e-test is a bitch.

Yeah, I realize that. It's just I don't have the ablity to get it to the shop for the safety now without towing or dealer plate. So that means if I go to put it in my name, it will go unfit and I will be unable to get plates anyways.

I might have this sorted out already so its cool. Glad I've made lots of contacts in KW over the few years I've been here
