I can tell you for sure that 2 differnt size tires are not ILLEGAL
Look at the Prowler, RX8 and other cars that come stock w/ differnt size tires and wheels from factory. ------------------ Nick | 2001 Golf 1.8T | www.mygolfiv.com | www.hpaddicts.com | Need Cheap Hosting ?? www.WEJhosting.com $50/Year |

Yeah, but theyre expensive and "nice cars"... Cops dont give a fack about them, because for the most part, the people who own them, are old men, who can pay for a ticket, like its no problem... They pick on the younger generation car enthuiasts, becuase were mostly broke... and cannot afford a 200 dollar fine. |

BTW my mom had differnt tires on the Maxima for like 2 years and not once was she stopped The fronts were a differnt series then the rear and had a much smaller side wall. Trust me the rules apply to all cars the same, new, used or modifed. ------------------ Nick | 2001 Golf 1.8T | www.mygolfiv.com | www.hpaddicts.com | Need Cheap Hosting ?? www.WEJhosting.com $50/Year |

I agree with nick, how can that be, the rules apply to every car. If they ticket your something like that then just take it to court.

what i ment was, all those cars come stock that way, they are ment to have 2 different sized tires. Read the sticker in the glovebox. Same size tire all around, an r8x, isn't. I'm not saying that i think it's un safe, BUT the whole point is that HE GOT A TICKET FOR IT. So whether you think it's right or wrong doesn't matter, if he got it, you can. Simple as that. ------------------ 90 ElSilvino 88 ? comming soon. My RB will own you! hahahaha -matt- |

You make a good point and that is, cops can do whatever they want.
But really there is no rule anywhere about diferent size tires. That ticket will never ever in 1 million years hold up in court. If i get such a ticket i'm not only fithing it, i'm suing back for waisted time, money to put my car back on the road and suing the officer for not respecting the law. :fuckyou: :fuckyou: ------------------ Nick | 2001 Golf 1.8T | www.mygolfiv.com | www.hpaddicts.com | Need Cheap Hosting ?? www.WEJhosting.com $50/Year |

--red GTP with NOS --
E Break cable loose ... his E Break would not lock in. -- Tom's purple civic -- Windshield tints too low, he had to rip them off on the spot. His front tires had uneaven tread on his tires ... worn, he had some one bring over 2 new tires with rims imediately .... 2-3 tickets. I think cracked windshield as well. -- Brian's blue F150 -- worn tread and I think the size issue. Had 2 front tires replaced. Those are just a couple of things they got busted for I'm sure I missed some things ... realy minnor shit they never would have bothered with. They were there from like 8pm - 12:30, checking shit like windshield washer fluid, whipers, tire tread, signals ... man you don't even need to have signals for safty !!! (arm signals). The GTP got his place taken he must get the vehicle safetied ... same idea as if he just purchased the vehicle. -- Blue neon, white dragon -- They even pluged into his computer to see if he had any modifications done to the program ... or looking for a mod chip I'm sure. Retarded this is ... I never heard of such shit. Tom, Brian and Jon drove off, no place were taken there after they complied with their changes. It seems as though the rules were different from cop to cop. They pulled a couple of stock vehicles ... old honda but it was a rust bucket and it should not even have been on the road ... all in all it was stupid. This can't be right. Disscusting |

They stop you and take your licence. Then they ask you to follow them while they have your licence.

I was talking to my uncle, whos been in the tire business for 30+ years now.. and he says the only way different sized tires is illegal, is if the bigger tires are on the front. he also said that uneven tire wear isnt illegal, but it will make your car fail a safety test.
