There might be a reason i'm trying to dissuade you from keeping it up...

Quick story:
Some guys from OSR were ramping a week or two ago, they had noticed there was a cop doing radar on the wellington street bridge a couple times they went - but he wasn't after them.
A week or so ago they went up and asked him who he's after...

He replied that he was specifically targeting VM members.

Let that be your caution on this... The cops are reading the forums, they are very aware of your club and they are targeting you and your members.

You and Nick pretty much started this club; it wouldn't go well to have one of the founding members without a license, would it?

BTW: Nick, don't delete this thread... you can lock it... but I think your members need to be aware.

Ok fair enough, i would trust your word more if i know who you were, but if you want to keep that annonymus status, is fine.

Say that whay you heard is true, how come then only a select few of our members got pulled over??
Even if that is by luck then how come when we went to DKN6 and one of the members got pulled over in their "check" the cops knew about VM and gave him props for not supporting Street Racing and for being part of a safe enthusiast community. He was let go w/ no mods tickets, altough everyone else was getting Rapped??

And this is not something i heard, is an acctuall member that it happened to.

meh... i dunno if i believe it... cuz if it is true... isn't that more harassment or something.. just targeting VM crew even if they aren't doing anything?

like targeting a black person over a white person??

all this stuff seems to be getting blown way outta porportion... safety is the reason for all of this... i dunno what seems to be so bad...

sure its annoying and yadda yadda... but fuck.. would you rather have all the idiots that love to race out there driving around 5 mins from broadsiding you or one of your friends/family members... cuz i sure as hell dont mind them off the road...

When me nick and alex started this club, no one knew who we were. And now that they do, I only here good things from people. Cops know what we stand for man. They ain't targeting us.

Peace!

Don't shoot the messenger.

Who knows; if they read the forum they might just target specific people.

My 2 cents.

Do police read these boards? Yes.

There are two kinds of cops. Good ones and assholes. Just like any other occupation, they are human also.

Are they targeting VM Members? Most likely the assholes are. They take everything personally and hold grudges. It is within their personality and likely has nothing to do with the fact that they are cops. The good ones just could not be bothered. They see things clearer and probably have some respect for what VM is trying to stand for.

Is this being blown way out of porportion? Yes.

Is is likely that a cop would make such a comment to a stranger? No, not a chance. I doubt the officer would assume that everyone in this city knows who VM is. Not only that, it would cost him his job if you reported him. Any such 'targeting' that is going on could never be drawn that narrow. Even if it was a 'asshole' cop that had a grudge, he wouldn't be that naive and tell someone who walked up to him such a bold statement. There could be serious ramifications for that. If this officer was doing radar he would be obligated to pull over any and all speeding, not just those of his choice.

again my perspective ....if cops are reading the forums they should be taking notes.. listen to our experiences, speak up... lets hear another side of it for once..

we all want to drive our cars with minimal ( if any ) risk of losing them ..

ok I havent been reading up on the boards...
but from what I understand this sportbikesrule dude wants to remain unkown(ps too early in mrng) but ya and tries to say this kinda shit?

for instance. i was cruising with 4 other cars.. cop saw us.. (btw we were doing limit..not doing anything stupid throughout the cruise at all) anyways see us pulls us all into parking lot..and then tells us some1 called a few of our plates in..and said we were screwing around.... racing up and down the dudes street.... wich we were NOT.
but anyways the cop was really nice and we talked with him... and he said he wasnt hassling us and all.was just letting us know..this and that...
and that was it...
and 2 cars had vm stickers on them...
so this vm member profiling things probly bullshit..
