Next time you buy a motor that says it has hifger compression. Consider checking teh compresion. If he says it has cams..then pop teh valve cover and measure teh cam lobes. It could be your fault for not doing that. But its also his fauly for lieing to ya

You got screwed none the less. better luck next time. and make sure no one else buys anything from him.

I made absolutely no guarantee on any of the work done to the engine, because I did not build the engine, which I told you when I sold it to you. Your also leaving out the part where I told you I had no receipts, and no proof of the work done, I was only going by what the builder had advertised. You were fine with that at the time. Secondly I did not have the engine apart to know whether it was built properly or not, so if it was not done properly, than I am just as pissed off as you because I paid a lot more than $1000 for it when it was fresh. I would also like to say that I had full intentions on keeping it, I recall posting that I would be interested in an older civic to swap into. So if you think I was trying to pawn it off on you, you’re wrong. I guess next time I’ll make sure the purchaser hears the engine run before pulling it out, rather than selling it sight unseen. All I can offer you is the builder’s phone number and maybe you can call him some names and see where it gets you.

yes you did tell me that you had no receipts but you said that the work was done.. i have a witness. you told us that it was faster then your integra and so on.. i have yet to feel that power. i had my friend steve right beside me when you came and dropped it off and he heard all of it so he can vouch for me. the compressoion is great on it 180psi on all 4. and i have a BRAND NEW dizzy on it.. still not running right. i got a new timming belt and set the timming. the crank gear was off 1 teeth not to mention that the cam gears didnt line up. you didnt tell me that you took off the timming belt to get your engine mount off untill i e-mailed you about the timming marks being WAY OFF and that the thermosate housing was upside down. which led me to believe that something was wrong..you told me to check the crank pully to insure that it was tight cause you had a underdrive pully on it and you didnt mention that you had takin it off for your mount...so dont say that you didnt guarantee the work when i had my buddy there to hear everything.

and when you advertised it here on vm (link provided) you shouldnt have said that work was done if you didnt have proof..i wouldnt mind that guys # so i can talk to him..maybe he would know more about the problem.

After reading the stuff here. http://forums.vitalmotion.net/viewto...ghlight=engine

It says you have alot into this engine. So who built this engine? Canadateg or someother builder taht we don't even know about.

I saw this car yesterday and he is still having problems. I know for sure that I will never buy another used engine again. Even my engine with like 30k on it. Already needed waterpump and now front oil seal and pan gaskets.

Good luck man
