As some of you know me and steve went to SCP 7.
The trip was a blast, filled with clubbin, drinking, shopping, etc.

The highlight off course was the show itself.
Now i finally understand what the hype is all about. This show is more than just about the 200+ cars displayed, its a show about the spectators.
Over the 3 days there were more than 60,000 people who visited the olympic stadium. Most were hardcore sport compact fans, going over every inch of each car, snapping pics and touching everything.

The show had many things to do, non-stop like drift RC cars, show stage, audio system install buildoff, etc, etc.

Also Taj Das, owner of the AcuraBot, unvielled his new car, a 2007 Solstice, aka Project Top Tuner. This car is beyond anything imaginable.

I don't have all the pics up, but here are the first 200+, i will keep adding the car pics today, and I have over 100 pics of the models.

Holy rice o roni.. yer cars were the cleanest there.. too much airbrushing, ugly widebody kits and unfitted rims.....

aka.. holy lets go back to 1999 batman..

.... I have a feeling that Im growing out of the scene.. with its candy looking unfunctional cars to really pushing the SHOw SHow envelope with regergetating of old show themes that were in back in 1999.... Unfunctional sux... build a car to drive it .. IE C7 cruise or other cruises not to show it off and have problems unloading it from the truck cuz yer gay skirts are too low...

Matt

^ I am going to have to agree. To much emphasis on making it a widebody, why? who really cares? Unless yo uplan on doing some crazy ass road racing (which these cars will not even be driven) it is a waste of time.

thanks guys! I appreciate it. I wasn't sure if I liked them... I may still do some mods to them and switch it up... but overall, based on reactions and people taking a billion pictures I think they were a success and most people like the uniqueness of them. So thanks again!

The show was insane! Although I think Nick and I both have great cars, we honestly didn't stand much of a chance against some of these cars... people were above and beyond anything we see here. More people definately have to come check it out next year!

Zing... dont worry bout that man.. I seriously hope you dont mod your ride beyond drivable, I mean you barely drive it as it is.. This year I have been driving mine more than ever and it feels good. Its all about bringing the true spirit of it back not sit there for hours, pay rediculous amounts of money to be at a show, and just look at eye candy. The future of this shit is numbered cuz in reality how long can you look at a car. Its all about bringing it out to the road track and for cruises.

I think that for me its all about performance from now on... It will feel nice once I build up the six to be an all around track, mild show, and cruize vehicle cuz it will feel nice once its fast(hopefully) and i can beat half of those fake turbo 15-16 second running show crap out there.

SHOW SCENE SUX

Matt you have no idea how wrong you are, with your statement.

Many of those cars are driven and driven HARD. Teams like Rsquadron, Emotion, etc drove down 6-12 hours for this show.

yes there were several cars which are "show only", but that was maybe 5%.

As for the "show only" turbo system...well you are even more wrong.
We drove back with the RSquadron Team and I can tell you that these cars do MOVE..very very quickly too !!!.

^^ haha that's true, they definately move!

BUT at the same time, guys give Matt a break. Nick, I know there are tons of people like you who totally love cars and love looking at every detail of them over and over. But in many ways I'm with Matt on this one... how often do these cars change? Not very... so when I see the same cars all year, every year and I look at the same thing with very little changes to them it gets quite boring for me. Sure, the cars are great! I love getting ideas and seeing what else I can do... but look at how much we have dumped into these cars... $30,000 +!! IN MODS! And we still aren't winning because everyone has sponsors or money to spend even more... ya I love having people take pictures of my car and notice me, but I think he was just trying to make a point by saying that these cars are just as well respected on the roads and should always be "driveable"... he wasn't necessarily bashing the whole show scene, just making sure that we don't overdo it like some cars... like the solstice for example.SICKEST CAR EVER! BUT it's not driveable... that's a waste of probably over $100,000!!

Anyway, I'm on the fence on this one... regardless, I understand both points and I'm sure I'll continue to be a retard and keep dumping money into my car! lol But Matt, for the record, I will also be focusing on engine from now on and I will never make it not driveable...

No one is knocking R squadron man - Im fully aware how hard those guys try to get a sponsorship, they even sent a few cars to SEMA just to secure their spots.. so IM not knockign R squadron.. u insane?

Exactly the point IM trying to make. A lot of people thesedays share the same idea.

Lol exactly dont worry IM still dumping mula to mine.. I just finished ordering a completey new suspension including trailing amrs, sway bar, all new pillow ball upper mounts, braces and other items.. from AWR they do suspensions for speed vision touring cars... hehe lol
