Importfest Cruise, Roll In and Setup

Leaving Sportsworld @ 4:00PM on Friday
Arrive at Skydome around 5:30PM
Wash Cars (wash facilities are provided) 5:30-7PM
Roll in on show floor 7PM sharp (AS A BIG GROUP)
Purchase Electricty for whoever needs it
Setup display and continue cleaning until 8:00PM
Head out to party

Our Display. I tried to get a side section but booths had priority on that space and its now SOLD OUT.

So we will be forced to park in rows, however since we have so many cars we are allowed to mix it up a little and park at an angle or whatever as long as we keep within the same area. We can also block off areas with anything that is part of the display. We can't have a tent.

I suggest we keep all the cars that require electricty group together so they can share.

I need power as well as I told you about it long time ago .. Nick.... I'll park beside you Zinger.. we can share both our cars can handle it.. i USUALLY use a battery charger and let it charge, and my Cap offsets the decrese in power as long as we both have a plug each we will be fine.. My red top lets me go for about 1.5 hours at full charge to run my audio and video

I say whoever needs electricity should be beside eachother, in squares would be nice.. cuz that way we can branch off the inside between cars and put our chairs there and other supplies while the outside perimiters would be allowed for pepole to check out the cars.

ya that would be a nice setup... I have a power supply, I just need the electricity to plug it in, so hopefully we'll have enough power! anyway no big deal, if a few of us are splitting it it shouldnt be much... we'll see when we get there I guess

Ok. for anyone that is going out to buy a power supply

Canadian Tire. Spend about $60+ on one. Make sure it does at least 10amps (in whatever setting) @ 12-14 volts. Higher amps if you want to run your sound system at full tilt on it only.
Smart Charge ones charge and then turn off to not overcharge the batt
Manual charge ones keep feeding power and can cause a battery to overheat.
A Smart Charge 2 amp will do you all day if you just have your flashy lights on.
Smart Charge 10-12 amp if you are running a fairly loud sound system...but your batt will get hot over extended periods of use.

Also remember......

Bring a "good" extention cord with a Grounded end to it (3 prong) 25 foot+
No ghetto lamp cords ppl. Unless you feel like causing a fire.

10 amps doing down a wire the size of a twist tie = Flames

I will be coming in on the Sat morning

my power supply is FUCKEN GHETTO!!! lol I got it from Clarion. I tried buying one of those stupid canadian tire ones and nothing seemed to work. It didn't even have anything to plug into... when I told the guys that were working there that I needed one for what i was using it for they were like uuuggghhh??? lol so I think I have one of those smart chargers but I don't think it ever worked... if anyone has an extra one I may need it... let me know! thanks!
