Just bringing the thread back on track. May 6 - lapping day at Mosport. Just got off the phone with two more experienced drivers who'll be joining us. 15 spots left. PM me for details.
Feb. 18 Make that 14 left. Another driver has just signed up at the experienced level. Last edited by nissannx; 02-18-2007 at 09:28 PM. Reason: Only 14 spots left |

We've had a driver added and some position shuffling. There are ten openings spread across these categories: 5 advanced; 1 experienced; 4 new.
3:15 p.m. Driver added - experienced group full at ten; but still 9 openings. We can put experienced guys in the new group, which has 4 openings. 5 openings at the advanced level (race experience - Solo 1 or better). Last edited by nissannx; 03-03-2007 at 04:21 PM. Reason: added driver |

Three advanced spots left open. Two names on our wait list (one wait person was already able to move into a vacated spot) so let me know if you want to be on the wait list. I would suggest you include your phone number in a PM to me about this.
Mar. 31 This event is now full. Last edited by nissannx; 03-31-2007 at 03:23 PM. Reason: Full |

Its very hard to explain, but if you want to talk about an adrenaline rush...no car on the 1/4 mile can give you one as much as doing this, even if your car is only 100 hp. Tires squeeling, car sliding, brakes locking up, missing the apex and almost ending up in a tire wall or spinning across the grass...yeeee haw!!! If anyone wants to go but is very scared or timid about it, their more then welcome to come when I'm going and I can take them out in my car to show them the ropes. I'm not close to being the best driver out there, but I can at least give you a feel for what it's like and what to expect. Then you can take your car out there too. The main thing about these events are the people and their attitudes. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming. They don't expect everyone to drive like Schumacher and you shouldn't drive like that either, it's not a race. In fact, a little story about this weekend. It was our 2nd or 3rd session out there and I was being slowed down by two cars infront of me - I was being cautious and trying to give them their space until a straight away where they could wave me by - and this EVO was behind me. Well, the whole time we're behind the traffic the EVO is right up my ass. I couldn't even see his whole car in my rearview mirror....I wasn't too pleased with this. So after that session I was a little irritated by him. Right away though he comes up and apologizes...we start talking about our cars and it turns out he's a really nice guy. He was up from Buffalo. Just bought the EVO 5 days ago. It was fucking fast and he was a good driver...I couldn't come close to keeping up to him. But I will say he did have track tires on compared to my street Falkens. ------------------ Mike R. 2002 Honda S2000 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition |

Damnit that looks like fun. My brakes are nearing end of life too... I'll be replacing with some serious hardware and then I can take part in something like this. Maybe borrow a set of R-Compounds too. I'll need them to plant power to the ground coming out of those turns!!
