St. Thomas Friday May 4
don't call me "event co-ordinator" here.... just in case..
I haven't taken this car to the track yet... ever. I'm interested in getting some base numbers for it. (its stock baby! and 3 speed auto trans ... lol... aiming for 16.0) Street legal fridays for $15 ... sounds just perfect for me! Is anyone else interested in cruising down this friday night? or are ya too busy drinkin on fridays? |

Street legal fridays...does that mean completely legal?
I'm not illegal I just want clarification...they wouldn't care if say your exhaust was less than legal would they? I mean it's not like it'd be running slicks/open exhaust and some hardcore fucking wheelie bars and shit, lol. ------------------ 2003.5 Titanium Grey Mazdaspeed Protege-2.0L 5spd Turbo 1996 Cavalier-2.2L 3psd(AT) |

I e-mailed and asked them what street legal fridays ... and run what you brung saturdays are...
... they are just for fun days... its not eliminations or anything.. (just a cooler name for test & tune) Here is a clip of their reply "Friday and Saturday nights are just 'Fun Nights'. No serious racing or eliminations - just 'play time'!! The record is 61 runs on a Friday night so go for it." |

My cat's not gutted....
currently the one I have toasted itself so it's a non-existent..the new one is a 3inch Highflow..I don't mind being less illegal, saves on tickets...although now that thats less illegal the muffler goes more illegal.Straight through mufflers aren't legal right? what about if they have a silencer?..I need some clarification on exhaust laws...so I don't sound too surprised when I get pulled over.EDIT*Wait, by not telling me and me being un-aware of the law wouldn't that make me not guilty of breaking the law..haha, yeah right they'd think I'm like every other ricer who plays dumb. Fuck, atleast mines for power I don't even care. I wish it could be quiet and free-flowing. ------------------ 2003.5 Titanium Grey Mazdaspeed Protege-2.0L 5spd Turbo 1996 Cavalier-2.2L 3psd(AT) |

I hear you loud and clear! Thats why my magnaflow muffler is for sale.. (well.. have to replace it first... ) I like it in the lowest and highest RPM's.... not mid rpm.. (like just cruising back streets.. I try to stay off the gas because its just plain loud)
Just sucks to replace it, as people pay to get these things LOL ... and I'll be paying to remove it ![]() Its just 1/4 mile for fun friday. Need to know what this car runs, so in the summer I can bracket race and have a chance... hey.. this is track talk .. so how about a little bracket info... specifically reaction time.. ... why do you get disqualified if your RT is better than 0.5 seconds? I was getting like.. 0.2 reaction time the first times I ran down the strip.... shouldn't breaking 0.0 be disqualify? I dont get it.. where is the logic in this? |

weather is going to be fantastic! Though I have not gotten much for responce on all 3 message boards this is posted on.
The GF wants me to pick up her parents dog to babysit for the wknd.. well. I told her, I plan to run the car at the track.. so I'm still planning on goin.. the dog can sleep till I/we get back. Probably go for 5 runs.. that should give me a pretty good idea of what the car runs. Then what to do after that Hmmm... I'll be near london. Also have to get the SHO ready for sale the next day.. have a mustang fan coming to test it out. Hmmm... maybe I should take it to the track LOL... jokes. We really need to get a 1/4 mile track much closer to KW... |
