FYI guys, this is actually a 2-day event this coming weekend. It's being held by the CASC guys.

May 12:
Milton Showcase Event (Non-Championship) (SoloOntario) @ Mohawk Raceway, Milton

May 13
Round 1 (SoloOntario) @ Mohawk Raceway, Milton

As everyone is aware, CASC is holding a 2 day event for the Milton Safe Streets Campaign. This campaign is to help educate the general public on the "Safe Alternative" to street racing. This happens to be part 2 of the campaign, which started last year, with big thanks to Wes Tanney, John Bondar and CASC.

Milton is raising funds to help purchase the "Rollover Simulator" for the township. CASC has agreed to help in this endeavour by providing a 2 day event.

Location: Mohawk Raceway/Casino Parking Lot in Milton (Guelph Line and 401)

Day 1: Exhibition Event, designed to attract crowds, to create an atmosphere of friendly competition, and to introduce new competitors to our sport.

Day 2: Event Number 1, CASC-OR Provincial Autoslalom Championship

Info can be found here:
Regionals Schedule | Schedule | Solo II | Solo Ontario

Registration @ 8am
Driver's Meeting @ 9am
First run starts at 9:15am

I can't make it but have lots of fun guys!!!

And yes, this is the first Solo2 event in the 2007 Mobil1 Autoslalom Championship Series.

Unfortunately people will drive an hour to beat the shit out of their car on a 1/4 mile track, but they have a problem driving like they normally drive on the street on a proper course.

I'll try my dardest to make it out.... you don't need a helmet for solo2 correct?

and uh, the car I'll be driving has a squeek in the knuckle in the rear suspension, its not a safety issue at all just makes a squeek when the suspension is compressed

^^ you do need a helmet for solo2. I know WOSCA had some loaners when I used to go I'm not sure if this club does. If anyone wants my (slightly beat up) shark helmet pm me.

it was involved in an accident so a couple of stickers would be needed as far as safety, in solo2 the helmet is for looks only probably to satisfy insurance requirements rather than a real safety requirement.

Like Kace said, a lot of people drive close to this on the street all without wearing helmets

Bring some masking tape to cover your plates (or remove them) and an air compressor to pump up your tires over spec.

For a low price this is a sure way to have some legal fun with your car.

(the mothers day thing does suck though)

And louis you'll have to get up pretty early to be there, or just not go to sleep...lol

The ram would not be allowed to compete IIRC.

High centre of gravity.

Thumbs up

That list is strictly to ensure your car is in mechanical order.

The complete rule book can found here: Rules | solo2ontario.com where you will find that a Snell 2000M or better helmet is required in section 4.5.
