Frank, I just emailed you. I'm in for this.
All VM people are welcome to join me in attending this. I was at the last one a couple weeks ago and it was an awesome day and Frank and his crew did an excellent job running it. ------------------ Mike R. 2002 Honda S2000 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition 1998 Dodge Durango SLT - For sale |

Thanks Frank!
C'mon people...this is the type of thing anyone can absolutely love. Again, as I've said before, you don't need a race car or a highly modified car for this. There are a lot of stock cars there. They have a great beginner level and the people at these events are very welcoming. I'll definitely be there to help any new drivers out the best I can, not that I'm an amazing driver, but it's so much fun. ------------------ Mike R. 2002 Honda S2000 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition 1998 Dodge Durango SLT - For sale |

Any reason why there isn't any interest from VM???
As I said before, I'd be more then happy to help you out if it's your first lapping day. Plus, there's bound to be some amazing cars out there that are just fun to watch and may even give you a ride along. ------------------ Mike R. 2002 Honda S2000 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition 1998 Dodge Durango SLT - For sale |

Rough and Jimmy,
Great to have you join us. Lude Awakening probably going to be there too. There are currently 19 spots available. Lots of interest out there, I'm just looking for the dollars to hold a spot for you! There will be lots of seat time! |

Was just looking through the tech sheet, how anal are they with that? I noticed the other day I have a few chips in the windshield

Nine times out of ten the majority of people who talk shit down here don't even have any of the crap they talk about on their car. I drive an 8 year old domestic and barely give two shits about it. I beat the hell out of it and it begs for more, just like your girlfriend. Go ahead, cut me off. I dare ya. |

Elmer the safety elephant says:
Anal to the point that we want you to be safe AND we want everyone else on the track to be safe. A cracked windshield wouldn't be allowed. Chips - assuming we're not talking giant spiderweb pock marks - would be allowed. PM me, email me pics, or arrange to drop by and show me the car if you're in doubt. I live in Waterloo Region - and can meet up if you want to save EMT or PayPal fees.
On the safety front - everyone must have a helmet, driver's 18 and up, there is liability insurance through the track (but realize that your auto insurance won't cover a fender bender on the track), there will be a paramedic onsite all day, and we expect everyone to know and follow the rules. I also request that you don't show up at the track hung-over after partying the night before - such a driver wouldn't be allowed on the track. I've been at track days without rules - it's not fun. I want everyone to drive home at night knowing they've had fun - that won't happen if someone causes an accident. There will be $3000 cars and there will be $60000 cars on the track at the same time - personally, I don't want to cause damage to either! Plus my name is on the contract with the track and they expect a safe event. Bottom line - Kace will tell you I'm reasonable but I won't let anyone put anyone else at risk. Well, I performed a miracle this afternoon tranforming said chip into a full blown crack. New windshield in order now.
Solved that problem ![]() ------------------ This is where you type a bunch of shit about how awesome your car is. Just an update, there are 15 spots left as indicated above. Only 8 of those spots are novice and I won't put a novice driver into a higher group. There are a lot of emails, PMs and questions being asked (this is posted on several forums) and as you can see last weekend we filled 4 spots in less than a 48 hour span. I will not hold a spot unless money is down. Sorry, but that could leave me stuck. If you don't have the full amount now, you can put $80 down to hold your spot. Check the August 12 link in the first post for more info!
edit - only 14 spots open edit - only 12 spots open edit - 11 spots open edit - 10 spots open Last edited by nissannx; 06-22-2007 at 06:05 PM. Reason: driver added |

Experienced and Advanced/experienced groups are both full.
6 novice spots are available - experienced drivers are welcome in this group, but need to recognize that it may be a more casual pace. Frank 4 novice spots available Last edited by nissannx; 06-24-2007 at 02:53 PM. Reason: driver's added |

Ahhh Paypal sent!!!
I know I wanted to see if we could meet up in person so I could save my $5, but with two spots left I kinda need to sign up now. I'm already getting enough grief from the rents about buying rims and tires, would really suck if I couldn't use them ![]() ------------------ This is where you type a bunch of shit about how awesome your car is.
