I predict that you break your record.

If I can convince my friend to go, and I get a GOOD jump on putting my engine back in than I'm in.

Nothin'..

A Stretched clutch cable caused my 1st/2nd gear syncro set to destroy itself, I just took the whole engine out to take the tranny off. Also wanted to do some inspecting on some welding I've done to the chassis that is impossible to look at with the engine in.

Ahh who needs syncros, according to Vin Diesel ( DAMN THAT GUY"S FAST) we should all be double clutching anyway. Just fire that puppy back in there and let's hit the track

P.S. I probably wont' be going on sat anyway now as the whole reason was for Fowler to check it out and now he can't go. I may still end up going as I posted in a couple other forums so if a bunch of people are in then I'm not going to back out on them.

P.P.S Vitalmotion at work eh..... I'm telling gary.

My best time of the night was a 14.35 with a passenger in the car, but most of my runs were in the 14.5-14.6 range. I am still definitely screwing up the start, all of my fastest runs were in the right lane which they were spraying with traction compound like every fifth car for some reason. I've always said i would leave the car alone when I hit a 13 second quarter mile so it looks like I still have some work to do.

It was actually really slow about 99 mph (they had the track set up for km/H for some reason) I was expecting some trap speeds above 100mph. I actually met your buddy the other day, and with gm stage 2 and exhaust he had slips where he ran 13.9 at 107 which is a really high trap speed for that ET.

It was with the GM stage 2 pulley (3.0"), but I think now that I have established a baseline I will probably order a zzp 2.9 inch pulley

Guess what boys, It turns out that some guy who was driving a G5 actually recorded my 14.35 run and posted it up on you tube (and also on cobaltss.net where I found it) so here it is

YouTube - Spotted

Note I'm the second car in the video

2point2, my previous best was at grand bend and it happened to be my very first run on a track ever lol it was a 14.564 (I have the slip at my desk if you want to come up and check it out) the 60' was 2.302 and the trap speed was 97.47 but that was in the spring at an ambient temp of below 15 degrees C. The closest I have ever come to matching that was a 14.7, and this year the last time I was out to st thomas in may I ran 14.9's and 15.0's pretty much all night.

The 60 foot time on my 14.35 was a 2.28 I believe but the slip is still in the car, and when I calculated it out the MPH was 98.46 which I am really disappointed in, I have no idea how the difference in trap speed could be so small the ambient temperature was 25C at the time but the car still feels much quicker than stock.
