TPC FIRST OFFICIAL LAPPING DAY and Track School of 2008 - SUNDAY JUNE 1

The Toronto Prelude Club in conjunction with Ian Law Racing will be holding this year's first track school/day at Mosport Driver's Development Track on Sunday, June 1, 2008.

Here's an overhead view of the track we'll be at for those of you unfamiliar with DDT.

We are limiting numbers for this event to:

15 Students and 15 lappers.

Cost for the day is:
$260.00 for the SCHOOL (and lapping) for students
(this is the lowest price we have ever managed to get - Regular price for Track School is $325.00)

$140.00 for EXPERIENCED LAPPERS ONLY**
(If you are first-timer please sign up for the school; it is worth every penny and you won't piss off the guys that know what they are doing.)

This price includes Drinks for the day and and All You Can Eat BBQ Lunch. For those that have attended before you all know how much you drink and eat through the day...

Spectators are welcome and even encouraged to attend. You might even get a ride if you ask nicely . (Price for food and drinks will be $10.00)

TPC track days are one of the most organized and safe track events out there. We like our cars (and our lives) so safety is our Number 1 concern. Passengers are allowed only at the discretion of the Organizer. Vehicle occupants must wear helmets and seat belts at all times -> ZERO Tolerence

** We have ONE maybe two spots left for a lappers, but plenty of space for Track School.

If you are interested in attending please EMAIL -> GrantTPC@sympatico.ca

If you search my posts about track racing, you'll see Mike ( Kace ) and I had blast. Any other questions.. post here or PM me

Will there be any other days for the track school this year?

This is where you type a bunch of shit about how awesome your car is. FACT: It's been scientifically proven that the more shit you write in here the less cool your car is. Nine times out of ten the majority of people who talk shit down here don't even have any of the crap they talk about on their car. I drive an 8 year old domestic and barely give two shits about it. I beat the hell out of it and it begs for more, just like your girlfriend. Go ahead, cut me off. I dare ya.

I apologize for the last minute notice, I completely forgot to post on this board. To answer your question YES, were hoping to hold TWO more events this year ( both for lappers and track school )

The track school rate may not be as low as this round though as 260 is a steal. I paid 325 two years ago.

I know, $260 is pretty good, but I also want to change the rear main on my car before I hit the track. Not so much for me, but for others as well. I don't know if I'll have it done by then. Every year I keep saying I want to do the school, but we'll see how much overtime I can put in

Were in desperate need of students for the track school. If we can't get enough, we may not have another track school this year.

In an attempt to increase interest in the school we've decided to take a loss and hope afterwords we'll have more lappers in the future. We'd rather have a full class and experienced drivers out there for the future (even if it's somebody else's lapping day) instead of people that are going to be dangerous.

So here is the offer...

If we can get 12 students signed up we will refund $30.00 back to each student bringing the total cost of the school down to $230.00.

If we can get 15 students signed up (an paid) we will increase that refund to $40.00 bringing the cost of the school down to $220.00.
so tell your friends that were hesitating because of the cost... I guarantee we will not see this type of pricing again

Oh man, that's an offer. If they're ok with my noisy steering rack I think I need to show. Should be better for learning as I'll be riding stock suspension.

When's the deadline? BYOHelmet I assume, M2000 is ok?

Those are great prices for a school at one of my favourite tracks! If you haven't been to a school, then this is the one for you. I've been to the DDC twice already this year. It's got everything - awesome corners, great elevation changes, lots of places to challenge your driving! I know a few of the instructors and you will learn a lot from having them in your car.
