Hmmm.. I wonder how much renting police attendance is??? Sunrise shopping center has had officers directing traffic in the parking lot for holiday shopping!!!
You know what? .... I'm looking forward to weekly meets as well. I am never able to attend many, though I've looked forward to heading out a couple times a year and see what people are doing now. I would even consider paying a "minor fee... " like, $2 that goes to parking lot rent. Taking in money also means having a finance officer to make sure money stays part of VM... not someone's pocket. Other good idea is oh... instead of entry fees, we can have 50/50 tickets! you choose if you want to gamble or not. people like gambling! and 50% of proceeds to VM. Good Luck... Hope to see things go well. |

Im not that familiar with KW region but is there sort of a parking structure / lot with those bars that lift? Im thinking like in guelph by the riverrun but on... the main street there? basically oh shit lol
By the bus terminal across the road there is a parking structure but it was one entrance with those arms that lift. Is there something like that in KW that would be available to rent that would make things a lot easier. |

HAHA even the strip across the street from Sunrise Center where Timmies and Wendys is there's a rent-a-cop walkin around there nightly. Every time I was there with the guys just standin around he'd come over and run the "I'll get fired if you don't leave" line..

Sounds good Tom. I can't wait to see how things turn out in the new year. I think that most of the negativity towards this whole situation from other members in other threads and such are because they are affraid of how things will turn out. It seems that there is more strength and toughness behind the new ideas and plans and there is less room for people to screw around and act like immature people when in public. I hope this is the case in the next season. We dont need people acting like idiots ruining it for everyone else who are just out to have a good time and participate in a group.
In the last year weve been kicked out of Home Depot, The Brick, Philthys, Moose Winnoskis and East Side Marios. Maybe not kicked out persay but told not to come back if we were going to continue to act the way we were acting. Weve been back to the Moose and ESM since then, but in smaller groups and acted accordingly and there were no problems. Big changed are needed and thats what a lot of us members have been hoping for all season long. Its really good to see and hear that things are starting to come around and plans being put into action to make these ideas happen, thus making VM a better place for all members to be a part of. The idea of a controlled lot is great. I know that Ive had discussions with VM members and mods about this in the past and how important it is to have control of the people who are participating in weekly events, but it usually was followed up with "How are we going to police the people who come and go out of the meet?" its good to hear that a solution has been thought of. I dont think that we need a police officer to do it, Im sure a few members will be more than willing to sit at a gate and make people sign in and take their information. Im sure Big Jeff would have no problem removing people from the meets if need be (Ill pay you 200 Yen for each person you have to remove Jeff :P). When the meets were large it was great. People were around to be with their friends. To hang out with each other and talk about their cars and lives in general. This is what most of us miss the most about VM in the last little while. Everyone was looking for someone else to blame. Hell even Misshift was supposed to be secretly taking over VM somehow or another. Which made me laugh. The life responsibilities of the leadership of VM is more important than the club and with Nick and Mike having too much on their plate as it was and trying to fit in VM when they could was too much for them and its totally understandable. They did a great job for as long as they were able and Im sure I can speak for the majority of the members by saying we do appriciate what they did for us and VM. However now that they have more pressing matters to take care of VM is on the backburner for them which is very reasonable. Im sure with Tom at the helm we will be able to have a group of people dedicated to the club again that will be able to make it what it was back in the day. Things can only get better from here on out. There is not going to be a worse season than last. We need to think of this as a stepping stone into the future and we all need to pull our weight to make this succeed the best that we can. There is no room for negativity or time to screw around trying to explain what happened in the past. That doesnt matter at this point. What we as a group need to be concerned about is how we can make VM a better place and what we can do as individuals to help our friends in this group. I don't really have much to say
From getting to know Tom in the last few months I found out 1. he does not hates me but loves making fun of me 2. he means business, which is a good thing. The previous mods did their job but you could tell they weren't really interested in seeing VM continue on to 2007. Tom, you have some great ides for 2007. I am still trying to figure out why the previous mods couldn't think of these ideas. goodluck looking forward to 2007 ------------------ '05 WDP Acura TL = Winter Beater '95 EJ1 Coupe = Tuned to 205WHP '01 Honda CBR600 f4-i = Fun On 2 Wheels '94 Integra Type R 4dr = My Baby's Baby |

See thats where I think a lot of this negativity lays with Tom taking over. I dont know how many people have actually took the time to know him off of VMs boards. Actually talk to him in real life. Ive talked to him many times and his outlook on VM seems to be a positive one when most of us were almost content with sitting back and doing nothing other than talk about it. You have to give credit where credit is due. Tom deserves to be given credit because he has stepped up to the plate and is starting to take ideas and put them into action.
Tom is oppinionated. He knows what he likes. He knows what he doesnt. He speaks his mind. Some people think that is an asshole thing to do, but in reality it just shows everyone around how things are without misconceptions. If half of the people actually talked to him who are bashing him one on one Im sure the majority of people will understand. He personally has helped me out in my life and offered to be there for me when there is no reason for him to do so other than he thought it was the right thing to do. He has given me work to do and asked for help when he needed it from me. VM is going to be better off because of this change. Things can only get better. Having someone who is going to reach goals that are set infront of them becuase they have the resources to do so will make things better for all of us on VM and in VM. He is not going to be able to do this on his own. We need to also step up and make sacrifices to make VM a better place for everyone involved. Whether it be at shows, online, in real life, or just in general. VM was once a great place to be and has gone downhill in the last year. We all need to step it up and make things happen. Interesting.
------------------ This is where you type a bunch of shit about how awesome your car is. FACT: It's been scientifically proven that the more shit you write in here the less cool your car is. Nine times out of ten the majority of people who talk shit down here don't even have any of the crap they talk about on their car. I drive an 8 year old domestic and barely give two shits about it. I beat the hell out of it and it begs for more, just like your girlfriend. Go ahead, cut me off. I dare ya. |

so I hope rules get strengthen on forums, more events get planned out, more meets, and just more fun in general and I think Tom can do it, I haven't met you but judging from your posts you know what your doing! VM 2007 Here We Come!!! Now I got a good reason to find a better car. Last edited by Domani; 12-28-2006 at 06:33 PM. |

As a kind of fundraiser to help with the new site, you could sell the vitalmotion new design stickers to anyone who wants one and who is on this site. It would be great to see cars with these on the road on the way to work

Id personally like to be a part of VM as well, I have ideas and such but I hate when i get blown down due to the fact I roll in a Saturn...mind you, its a new Black and DROPPED one now
, So is there room for any tuners or are we still going to have the attitude as before because i really hope to join and promote the VM scene.------------------ ![]() \\\Mitch\\\ www.psaclub.net 2001 Saturn SC2-Black, Dropped, lookin' good! *--Black-Out has begun--* - SPS - MA Audio - JVC Audio - Eibach - KYB - AEM - |

I'm very curious to see where VM goes in the coming year. I know that once Tom gets an idea in his head he can't stop until he achieves it, so I imagine it'll be a good thing.
I'm a big supporter of Toms no BS style. Personal encounters and internet discussions have shown that we don't always agree on things but generally speaking we get along very well. Good luck in the future Tom. Congrats! I like to hear about all the good changes! I didn't really see the site going down hill, but I didn't visit all that much. With all of the changes that I've seen, I know that I will be more active! I'm willing to help out a bit with different things.
As for questions about renting police, I know at least here in Brantford it's about $50 an hour. |
