oh great toms in charge.....

ever since the first day i met tom. hees made fun of me called me names and put me down.... but i have 100% respect for this guy.
hees a good hearted guy and does his shit right. you can just tell by the ammount of time he puts into his cars that he doesnt fuck around cut corners or anything like that.
i see that tom will put that effort into this site which is much needed. ive been a member on here since before i owned a car and ive grown with the club but also grown from the club over the past few months. hopefully this place can be pulled in a full 180 degree turn and put back on the right track. i have belief that tom and who'm ever else is helping him in this can do it. and do it right

I had heard about and joined up on VM in 2005 when I used to live & work in Mississauga. Wanted to check out the club/meets, but my car wasn't done in time before the end of the season.

Unfortunately come 2006, for what i gathered, meets were no more, due to getting kicked out of lots and police harassement. Not long into 2006, I lost my job, and had to move back to Port Colborne (I put Niagara Falls, it's only 15min away, but who the hell knows Port Colborne?). Although I either has to manage my expenses, or with my new job, working out of the country, I stopped visiting the site regularly. For what I had heard, there were no meets, and if there was, it was only for certain/special members, so i never bothered.

Hopefully with these changes will positively encourage meets and attendance. Even if you try to hide the organised meets from non-members, they will still manage to find and possibly ruin it by showing off. That's somethng you can't control without literally controlling who can enter the lot itself.

Hopefully these changes will be positive for VM in 2007, but it's success will not only be dependant on it's organisers. Organisers gets the ball rolling, but it's the participants, members or not, that make it successful.

To the best to VM for 2007

I wonder if they are ever going to change the sign at the Shell Gas Station from 79.9. Everytime Im in Port Colborne it gets my hopes up then I remember its demolished and only the sign remains.

If nothing else, this makes me want to participate more in the site, as well as meets. I joined the site a few years ago, but have never posted or attended much, since it seemed you need an expensive car + major ($$$) modifications to be included in VM. As a university student, that hasnt been possible until this year... but I'm looking forward to both a new car and an overhauled club for this summer!
