rim damage

i have a 17" chrome rim and the outter lip is cracked and still atached to the rim it self now its about a 4" crack. can that be repaired or do i need a new rim? thanks

I'd toss it (personally). Once a rim takes that kind of damage, unless it was a show car, I wouldn't trust it on the road at speed.

Are you talking about the chrome being cracked or the actual wheel structure being cracked?

Either way, to fix the chrome period is a pretty big deal cost wise, but if the lip is seriously cracked, then you will probably have to pitch it...

rim doctor will fix almost anything, you should have seen what footose's rims looked like before and after, i think he got them fixed there
