question about tires

I need to buy new rubber for my 17's, currently the shitty ass rubber on them is 205/40/r17 yokohama avid h4.

I'm sure these tires are great, (in general, I don't mean THESE tires, as they are bald as hell), and I'm wondering if I should go with these again.

online reviews are great, but I'd rather hear it from fellow vm members as they have never steered me wrong.

Should I go with the same ones or get something different?

if different, which one would you recommend?

How much do you think those would set me back?

new?

used?

Thanx for the help, to anyone who takes the time to reply!

i've had the fuzion tires in 245/40/18's and like above they stuck really well in wet and dry conditions, definately NOT for any sub5*C weather though.
for the price they are a nice tire.

I've also heard a lot of good things about Yokohama AVS ES100 as well from my friends who rave about them and are buying them again.

Potenza RE910's are a great tire as well.

as for new/used. I would NEVER run a used tire in any circumstance other than emergency use, or to personally know the last owner. but thats just me.

good luck there are a LOT of good tires out there, all depends on what u place importance on...
