Cheap place to get my rims and tires put together?

Hey guys, I have my new rims, and I just got tires for them.....

I need a place to do mounting and balancing for cheap.

Thanks to the way the weather is looking, I might be able to have them on sooner then I expected.

Let me know what you got.

Thanks,
Daniel

Dan you need to take it to a place that has people who are specialists at tires and such. Would you intrust your new rims to some 16 year old kid at Wal Mart without scratching the shit out of them when they mount them?

There are places like O.K. Tire, Woodside Tire, Rent A Tire, etc that do this all the time and have people who are very experienced with it. Might aswell pay the extra $40 to get someone to do it right the first time then to risk a screw up by someone at Wal Mart.

A couple places in town have performance changers and balancers, We are using a Hunter TC3500 changer, with a Hunter GSP9700 Road Force balancer.

Standard Mount+Balance on any low pro stuff is 19.95 each at our shop, a little more expensive than wal-mart or Canadian tire, but they also dont use machines designed for UHP tires/wheels, and have a much higher risk of scratching or damaging a wheel.

Hunter TC3500 Tire Changer-Changer

GSP9700 Road Force Measurement System-Balancer

Road force balancing is more expensive, I dont know offhand, but Probably in the $25 a wheel range. However roadforce allows precise match-mounting, hiding weights behind spokes etc. printouts showing the balancing weights aswell as roadforce measurements.

In any case, most of the tire shops around will do a great job for you, and probably be worth every dollar you spend. I know for sure beverly tire will take very good care of your tires/rims, and be very picky about the balancing etc.

I would just reccomend you avoid wal-mart, canadian tire etc. with Performance stuff. Simply because they often times use standard equipment not intentionally designed for performance tires/wheels. And the price is low partially because of that fact.

If we did that I would have a nice long list especially if I said everyone I knew with a tire mounter. I know like 8 people with them in the tri cities who would do it for a case of beer, but when talking about doing it right the first time with a nice set of rims and tires you really have to take it to a professional to get it done.
