Quick Advice
what would you advise I put onto my rims this summer....think bang for buck, but not cheap. I don't wanna over pay again for tires I just want the best performance for the best price. 215-45-17's summer perf Z rated. Anything you've had experience with or know of thats good.

best performance and best price will NOT be in the same sentence.
best VALUE for performance sounds more like what you are after. ------------------ Life can change with every breathe, and it can end before the next. I'm running Hercules PG5000Z's all around.
They feel really good to me but this is my first ever set of summer tires so I have nothing to compare them too. They cost me $120 installed give or take $10. I got them installed at Beverly Tire. ------------------ Harrold - 98 Honda Civic hatchback. |

Great performance all seasons.. had them on my first car.
BF Goodrich Radial T/A good dollar value there... lasts a long time and great grip. There are others in the BFG familly you may be interested in. |

I did consider fome of the BFG tires though, Jowo had said something about them to me when he worked for those bastards. Said they were alright... I couldn't tell ya either way since i went falken. Quote:
Right you are. I ended up getting Falken fk-452 or something to that effect? Seemed like a dec. tire. and I've heard alot of people are happy with their Falkens. They are a respectable name brand not some wierd named Korean brand or something.(no offence to Kia here...welll...) ------------------ 2003.5 Titanium Grey Mazdaspeed Protege-2.0L 5spd Turbo 1996 Cavalier-2.2L 3psd(AT) |

actually...there was a site that wasn't tire-rack that went really in depth on all that for all the tires in comparable categories..it was really useful, actually it totally helped me make up my mind. For the price I paid it had the highest all-across points. And it has a good life..but we'll see how it stands up to me and my driving. I'll see if I can dig the website up.

nothing wrong with the falken 452 you bought Mazdaspeed, but for a similar buck don't know why you didn't go for the azenis 615

at 4 tires for that price I could care less if they were wal-mart specials. They are just to hold Me over untill I do a 5 lug conversion and am able then to get some nice rims + tires instead of FWD offset shit.

i have a set of ZRi's that came free with my car, i just put them on and i'm really liking them so far considering what they're worth.
unless you want to track your car frequently and need the performance, i'd say get the ZRi's for daily street use with a bit of spirited driving. very smooth tire too, i keep catching myself speeding a lot compared to my old tires. ------------------ Brendan: Bunch of 240s Some Opels And a Honda |
