Goodyear Recall

I had found out today that Goodyear is having a recall on their Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires, these come stock on most 2002-2005 Nissan Maximas measuring in 245/45/R18 i believe. Some things to notice about your tires are:

-cracked sidewalls
-cracked thread pattern
-excessive noise from the tires
-peeling/tearing of the sidewall, due to it cracking apart

Ill try to keep everyone posted on anything else I find out, but this is going out to those with Nissan Maximas, due to the vehicle coming equipped with them stock.

This has been out for about a month or so.....we've been changing alot of them. We just ordered in another shipment of 80 of these tires to keep up with demand

You have to drop the vehical off, and we have to put it on the hoist check the vehical over for any mechanical defects that will cause tire wear, and check the DOT on the tire...to see if it qualifies for the recall

If it does you get 5 new tires, the (fullsize) spare is also changed

What happens to the tires after you change them? do you throw them out?

If this is the case can I have them.. I do not care about cracked sidewalls.

They get sent back to Goodyear, then I dunno what they do with them....probably shread, and use them for something else

if we kept them, I would take them home....as it's $1300 worth of tires/per car
