well, its lower now(finally).

After realizing I won't be buying the suspension I really want for a while(KW V2's), I found a good set of used springs/struts for the meantime..

front closeup:

rear closeup:

Its squatting too much for my liking, but some rubber spring helpers will solve that tomorrow(stupid holiday with no stores open)

Please ignore the missing door moulding, I FINALLY tracked one down, grabbing it tonight

^^ Theres a ton of room to go lower, I'm really surprised just how low it could go with the right springs(coilovers).. I'd bet it could almost sit on the rockers with shortened struts.

I don't know how much lower it could be for me though.. This winter could be interesting(might have to take the lip off and get an old 8v lip so I don't mess up the nicer 16v one).

Nice lowering job. I love MkII VWs, especially golf, probably the only VW I'd buy.

I wish I could get KWs for my car... I remember seeing a while ago on some european site that a 6th-gen had them, but they don't list them as an application on the NA site...

I didn't get the moulding until 9ish.. Its SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much nicer having the moulding on instead of the ugly mess that was on there sans moulding. I have to pick up a few more clips before I leave it on though.

Not the best with VW stuff, but those look like the VR6 wheels, correct? Did you do the suspension conversion? Some guy with a yellow mk3 has that done near my house, he has a very nice VW.

Yeah, those rims are just 'orlandos' from any run of the mill 4 cylinder MKIII. They're pretty nice, but a little small for my taste(14"), since they won't clear the bigger factory brakes(11.1")..

Over the winter(or possibly even before) I'm planning on a 5 bolt swap with VR6 corrado brakes(11.5" fronts I believe), and possibly some 16" 5 spoke Audi TT rims in the spring.

*edit* - quick shot from last night, complete with moulding
