HDR images anyone?

So I had a bit of time to kill, and figured I'd play with photomatix a bit.. Location wasn't great, but it was a short drive away and I just wanted something with sky behind it to play with the program.

Now that I see the images on my right monitor, they're a little dark all over, and over saturated, but they looked fine on the left monitor.. Looks like its LCD or calibration time.:thumbdown:

Camera also sucks pretty badly, needed lots of work in neatimage to clean up the noise, and they still are far from perfect.

Did you actually take multiple pictures in different exposures or is this a fake HDR attempt by manipulating the images in PS or a similiar app?

Also.. you really need to upgrade cameras.. that should definately be on your to do list since you are very heavy in the photo rendering/manipulating.

^^ Each was made by three bracketed photos in Photomatix.. The only PS work to them was to the final image, and it was only to adjust contrast, and filter out noise(oh boy was there noise). My camera only allows for +/- 1 e.v. though, so I don't get as much of a dynamic range as I would with a good camera.

The camera is definitely on the list, problem is I keep bumping it down when I'm really busy and have no time for pictures, and then I get a free night and get shitty pictures from the old camera
